Section 8: Prejudice dá continuidade à batalha da 8º Infantaria — termo militar utilizado para designar soldados que enlouqueceram em combate — contra a invasão da Arm of Orion. Entre as melhorias, a sequência traz um modo campanha bem mais robusto. A história da retomada do exército rebelde Arm of Orion promete, no mínimo, cinco horas de campanha. As nove missões da campanha dividem-se em vários objetivos distintos, sempre como uma ampla variedade de cenários como plano de fundo.
Prejudice também torna a experiência de Section 8 mais natural. Caso você realmente conseguisse dominar todas as técnicas e apreender os pequenos detalhes do primeiro Section 8, havia uma grande possibilidade de o seu personagem acabar sozinho no cenário de jogo. Isso porque — segundo reclamações constantes dos jogadores — o título original apresentava uma curva de aprendizado bastante abrupta, algo que nem mesmo o tutorial disfarçado de modo campanha conseguia resolver.
A boa utilização da Unreal Engine 3 garante ainda um belo upgrade gráfico para Prejudice. A iluminação dos cenários parece muito mais natural, e a campanha single player traz algumas paisagens de tirar o fôlego. Pela parte do multiplayer ,a atenção da TimeGate foi focada principalmente na ideia de tornar cada mapa distinto — evitando assim o clima um tanto genérico de alguns mapas do primeiro título.
Ademais, Prejudice deve trazer ainda novas possibilidades para os upgrades dos personagens — coisas que vão do mais funcional ao puramente cosmético. Também é prevista a inclusão de um modo estilo “Horde”, que aqui deve se chamar “Swarm”. Enfim, eis uma boa oportunidade para a 8ª Infantaria se retratar.

STABILITY:
- Fixed a crash that could occur when retrying to join a match after losing connection to LIVE

MATCHMAKING:

AUTOBALANCE
- Changed Autobalance to more aggressively place you with Friends

GAMEPLAY
- Changed the Friendly Fire to penalize napalm damage less than regular damage
- Changed Overtime to constantly increase both team VP at the same rate (10% of maximum VP per minute)
- Fixed an issue where the tank would fire an extra shot after exiting the driver seat
- Fixed the Ball Hog achievement (Assault) to count CPs captured because of implicit turn end due to all defenders being killed
STATS
- Changed Swarm to implicitly be Ranked for PC Listen servers (provided difficulty is at least Medium)
- Changed Badges to only allow earning each 2 times per match
- Changed Repair and Auto Repair ScoreEvents to have a maximum per match (200)
- Changed Repair Feat to have a maximum per match (66)
- Changed Ranked Swarm to only require two human players
- Fixed an issue where players could host a Ranked Swarm match on Trivial Difficulty (Medium is the minimum requirement)
DEDICATED SERVER
- Fixed an issue where the user configs would not work if there were trailing spaces on lines
- Fixed an issue where SOD servers were not able to host certain game modes after rotating
- Fixed some crashes related to hosting service server queries
- Fixed an issue where the hosting service server query would return the incorrect max players for SOD servers
